CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, is witnessing a wave of development under the visionary leadership of the state’s Chief Minister. As part of these initiatives, MLA Bhagwandas Sabanani performed a Bhoomi Pujan for the installation of lights at the Police Sports Ground in Nehru Nagar, located in the South-West Assembly constituency.
The lack of lighting at the ground had been a long-standing issue, especially for night events. Taking this concern seriously, the attentive MLA Sabanani conducted the Bhoomi Pujan on Wednesday to ensure the installation of lights across the entire ground. On this occasion, RI Jai Singh Tomar welcomed the director, Mr. Sabanani, with a bouquet.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Sabanani emphasized the increasing importance of sports in today’s times. He noted that under the Khelo India initiative, launched by the Prime Minister, athletes not only receive numerous facilities but also gain opportunities for permanent employment through sports.
He also highlighted the adverse effects of mobile usage on the younger generation, stressing that sports can help divert youth from these negative impacts. “If children move away from mobile screens and come to the playgrounds, they will not only develop physically but also mentally. Sports keep us active and fit. Encouraging children to leave mobile devices and engage in sports is a challenge, but expanding playground facilities can help address this issue,” he said.
He assured attendees that lighting was just the beginning and promised to address any further needs for the ground.
The event was attended by municipal officials, police officers, and other notable figures, including Hiralal Srivastava, President of the Sen Samaj, Lilendra Maran, BJP District Office In-Charge Raju Aneja, Mandal President Dimple Srivastava, Rajesh Khatik, Rajendra Rathore, Ashutosh Tiwari, Dinesh Bharti, Nandu Talkar, Satyendra Negi, Rakesh Jain, and Ajay Sharma, along with a large number of sports enthusiasts and local residents.
