CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal, under the guidance of Executive Director Ajay Singh, has launched the ‘National Emergency Life Support’ (NELS) program to further strengthen emergency medical services. This three-day program is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, New Delhi. The goal of this program is to enhance the emergency care skills of nursing officers. On this occasion, Prof. Singh stated, “AIIMS Bhopal has always been committed to setting new benchmarks in healthcare services, and this program will further strengthen our emergency medical services. It is the first of its kind training in Madhya Pradesh, setting a new standard in emergency medical services. The program trains participants as instructors, thereby multiplying its impact.”
The program was inaugurated by Ajay Singh, and Deputy Director (Administration) Colonel Ajit Kumar was also present. Renowned nursing faculty from leading institutions such as Safdarjung Hospital Delhi, AIIMS Mangalagiri, and Osmania Hospital Hyderabad provided training to nursing officers. Saurabh Saigal was honored for establishing the NELS-enabled skill lab at AIIMS Bhopal. The Head of the Trauma and Emergency Medicine Department, Dr. Yunus, said, “AIIMS Bhopal’s innovative programs are continuously raising the level of emergency medical services. AIIMS Bhopal had organized NELS training for paramedics in August 2024, and a five-day NELS program for doctors will be conducted in the future.”
A total of 27 nursing officers participated in this program, enhancing their skills.
