CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: NEP-Based Undergraduate Exams Begin Peacefully at Barkatullah University; Vice-Chancellor Conducts Surprise Inspection
NEP-based undergraduate examinations for the first, second, and third years commenced peacefully at Barkatullah University (BU) starting today. The university had made extensive preparations to ensure smooth conduct of the exams, including the timely dispatch of question papers to examination centers as per the directives of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S.K. Jain.
To ensure the successful and orderly execution of these annual examinations, the Vice-Chancellor, along with senior faculty members and officials from the Examination and Confidential Branch, conducted surprise inspections at three affiliated colleges. The inspections were aimed at gathering on-ground information about the conduct of the exams.
Prof. Jain personally visited the examination halls at the colleges to observe the process and interacted with invigilators and staff on duty. He provided them with necessary instructions to maintain discipline and fairness during the exams.
Following this, the Vice-Chancellor also inspected the control rooms of the exam centers. He reviewed the stock registers, flying squad registers, question paper storage areas, and secure cabinets, and obtained relevant information from the exam center heads. He gave clear instructions regarding logistics, emphasizing the importance of lighting, fans, and adequate drinking water facilities, especially in view of the rising temperatures.
The CCTV surveillance system in place for monitoring the examination process was also reviewed by the Vice-Chancellor and the university team, who expressed satisfaction with the arrangements.
Prof. Jain further encouraged all exam center heads to freely reach out to him in case of any issues, to ensure that no disruption affects the exam process.
Today, examinations were conducted in two shifts across 97 centers under Barkatullah University. The university will continue to carry out regular surprise inspections. The Vice-Chancellor expressed overall satisfaction with the exam arrangements.
