CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Khajuraho MP, Vishnudutt Sharma, attended the broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” program at the Pashupatinath Nepali Society Temple in Govindpura. He was accompanied by the state organization’s general secretary, Hitanand, who listened to the program with residents of the Nepali community and party workers at Booth No. 198 of the Arera Mandal in the Bhopal Central Assembly constituency.
After listening to the program, Vishnudutt Sharma called it “historic,” highlighting how the Prime Minister discussed topics ranging from space exploration to India’s independence. He emphasized Indian culture’s message of living harmoniously with animals and birds.
Sharma expressed how special it was to experience “Mann Ki Baat” with members of the Nepali community, acknowledging their dedicated contribution to the nation’s development. Following the program, Sharma performed a prayer ritual at the Pashupatinath Nepali Society Temple, praying for the welfare and prosperity of the people of the state.
Notable attendees included State Minister Vishwas Sarang, former minister Deepak Joshi, State Office Minister Raghavendra Sharma, District President Ravindra Yati, and Nepali Society President Lokmani Ghimire, along with other community officials and BJP workers.
Sharma praised the Prime Minister’s references to India’s Constitution Assembly and the insights shared by leaders like Babasaheb Ambedkar, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, and Rajendra Prasad. He also highlighted clips of their speeches presented during the program.
He noted the Prime Minister’s discussion on Subhas Chandra Bose, whose birth anniversary is on January 23, and how he escaped British captivity to champion India’s freedom across the globe.
Indian Culture: Living in Harmony with Nature
Sharma applauded the Prime Minister’s mention of the Ratapani Tiger Reserve near Bhopal, emphasizing how Indian heritage teaches us to coexist with animals and birds. He also mentioned the inauguration of two new tiger reserves, which will enrich the ecosystem. Sharma brought attention to the challenges farmers face due to animals damaging crops and shared an innovative solution from Assam, where locals created a group called “Haathi Bandhu” (Elephant Friends) and cultivated 800 acres of fodder to prevent wild elephants from entering fields.
The Prime Minister also spoke about the world’s largest spiritual gathering, the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj, and the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh in Ujjain. He highlighted the revolutionary prospects of agricultural development in space, driven by Indian scientists’ research.

BJP’s State General Secretary Hitanand also listened to “Mann Ki Baat” at Booth No. 168 in the Arera Mandal of Bhopal Central Assembly, joined by former MLA Dhruv Narayan Singh and other party officials and workers.
