CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Congress leaders paid tribute by garlanding and offering flowers at his statue and portrait located at the Pradesh Congress Headquarters and the statue site near Old Subhash School.

Remembering the late Subhash Chandra Bose, Congress members highlighted that Netaji was one of the most prominent and influential leaders of India’s freedom struggle. During World War II, he established the Azad Hind Fauj with Japan’s support to fight against British rule. His slogan “Jai Hind” has become a national salute of India. Additionally, his famous call to action, “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom,” became a rallying cry during the independence movement. Even today, Indians respectfully address him as “Netaji.”

The anniversary program saw the participation of prominent Congress leaders, including former minister P.C. Sharma, Lok Sabha candidate Arun Srivastava, District City Congress President Praveen Saxena, Major General Shyam Srivastava, Vijay Sarvaiya, T.R. Gehlot, Mujahid, and other Congress members.
