CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Department of Gastro Surgery at BMHRC (Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre) has inaugurated an advanced laparoscopic machine. The installation of this new machine has been done with the aim of enhancing patient care and convenience.
It is worth noting that the hospital was already performing surgeries such as hernia, appendix, gallbladder, and intestinal operations. However, with the addition of this machine, the hospital will now also be able to perform complex procedures such as laparoscopic bariatric surgery, liver surgery, fundoplication surgery, and other complicated intestinal surgeries. This advancement will significantly reduce patient discomfort.
With this new machine, BMHRC will be able to treat patients more effectively and efficiently. One notable aspect is that while bariatric and fundoplication surgeries cost patients lakhs of rupees in private hospitals, BMHRC provides these treatments free of cost to gas-related patients.
Additionally, surgeries performed using this machine can also be recorded, which will be valuable for medical research.
