CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The new education system is an important initiative aimed at providing multidisciplinary knowledge to students. This was stated by Rajan, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), while addressing a program.
He said that in the rapidly changing global environment, the education system must also evolve with time. The new education framework does not limit students only to textbooks; instead, it connects them with knowledge from multiple disciplines, offering opportunities for holistic development.
Rajan emphasized that in today’s era, knowledge of a single subject is no longer sufficient. Understanding diverse fields such as science, technology, social sciences, arts, and management helps students prepare for future challenges. The objective of the new education system is to encourage students to develop a broader perspective through multidisciplinary learning and to choose subjects according to their interests.
He further explained that teaching methods have also been transformed under this system. Education is now being made more practical, skill-based, and research-oriented, which will help develop students’ creativity and problem-solving abilities. At the same time, efforts are being made to make education more effective and accessible through the use of digital technology and modern teaching tools.
Rajan also said that the new education system inspires students toward innovation and entrepreneurship. As a result, young people will not only become job seekers but can also become job creators.
Highlighting the important role of teachers, he said that educators play a crucial part in guiding students in the right direction. He expressed confidence that effective implementation of the new education system will enhance students’ knowledge, skills, and confidence. This will help the country nurture capable and aware youth who will contribute significantly to building the India of the future.
