ITDC INDIA EPRESS/ ITDC NEWS : A three day training cum symposium on “Disaster and Climate Resilience in Cities: Localizing SDGs” jointly by SPA Bhopal, NIDM and NITTTR concluded at NITTTR Bhopal. In the closing ceremony of the program, Prof. CC Tripathi, Director NITTTR said that in the Indian tradition of knowledge, the environment has been given a divine place, that is why all the parts of the environment like water, air, land and many trees have been associated with the gods, the gods themselves. It is assumed. From the Vedic period, instructions are given to protect these elements considering them as deities. That's why it is our moral responsibility to save the environment.

Pro. Tripathi said that many ancient buildings and temples in our country were designed in such a way that they did not get damaged in natural calamities. In today's time too, we can do disaster management by using that ancient knowledge. The program was inaugurated by Gulshan Bamra, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Animal Husbandry and Dr. Anil Gupta of NIDM.

In this training programme, environmental experts explained in detail about all aspects of disaster and climate resilience. About 53 participants from different departments across the country received training in this training programme. The coordination of this program was done by Dr. Rama Pandey of SPA Bhopal.
