ITDC INIDA EPRESS/ ITDC NEWS: Intel, a global technology leader, introduced its latest Intel Core Ultra mobile processors at its "AI Everywhere" event on Thursday. These processors are said to be designed to redefine power efficiency, computing capabilities, and AI experiences for laptops.
Consumers worldwide can find the new Intel Core Ultra mobile processors in stores and online. Partnering with major brands such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and more, Intel aims to feature these processors in over 230 AI PCs.
“The launch of Intel Core Ultra represents the unmatched scale and speed at which Intel is enabling AI on the PC. By 2028, AI PCs will comprise 80% of the PC market and together with our vast ecosystem of hardware and software partners, Intel is best positioned to deliver this next generation of computing,” said Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel executive vice president and general manager of Client Computing Group about the new processors.
According to Intel, these processors enhance battery life and performance for various tasks, from work and learning to gaming and streaming on the go. What sets them apart is their dedicated AI acceleration across CPU, GPU, and NPU, making them Intel's most AI-capable and power-efficient processors to date, as per the company. The support of over 100 independent software vendors and 300 AI-accelerated features further distinguishes them from competitors.
When compared to competing laptop processors such as the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3, and Apple's in-house M3, Intel claims their Core Ultra 7 165H chip improves multi-threading performance by 11%. It also consumes 25% less power than the previous Intel Core i7-1370P and consumes up to 79% less power than AMD's Ryzen 7 7840U "at the same 28W envelope for ultrathin notebooks."
Beyond personal computing, Intel Core Ultra processors are also said to extend power-efficient AI acceleration to diverse industries such as healthcare, retail, and manufacturing.
