CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress / Bhopal: A program was organized on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day at Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University. Executive Engineer of Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ajay Shukla was present as the main speaker in the program. On this occasion, Shukla requested all the dignitaries present in the auditorium and introduced everyone how energy can be conserved. He said that saving one unit of electricity will save equal to producing two units of electricity. He has given hisThe statement said, "We may not be able to contribute in the production of energy, but we can definitely cooperate in the conservation of energy." "We should use new advanced equipment, which have a higher star rating and replace the old ones," Shukla said. With this, we will be able to conserve a lot of electricity. He said that we should also stop wastage of energy in everyday life. For example, lights in rooms, fans turn them off when there is no one. By using pressure cookers, solar water heaters, solar cookers, etc., we can reduce energy consumption. Presiding over the programme, Vice Chancellor of Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University Sanjay Tiwari said that energy is also a parameter for a developed India. We have to make net carbon emission zero, that is, we have to bring carbon emission to zero. He said that if the temperature of the earth increases by 2 degrees, there will be an outcry on the earth. Somewhere like flood, somewhere drought and somewhere like earthquake
Problems will increase. Tiwari said that 21% of our energy is used only in lighting. He called for increasing the use of LED bulbs and tube lights. We should also take advantage of various schemes of the government. Planting trees in this area is most important, we have to understand the importance of energy and contribute our bit for energy conservation. Only then will we be able to realize the dream of a developed India.
