CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In the light of Swachhta Pakhwada, NIFT celebrated Swachhta Andolan which included tree plantation, essay writing competition and many other activities. Under Swachhta Pakhwada, a seminar was organized on the contribution of women in clean house, clean country.
Chief guest of the seminar, Respected Meeta Wadhwa from Bhopal, Founder of SETU-The Bridge, spoke about how women have done a lot for cleanliness.
From learning garbage separation to recycling and reusing plastic, the women have practiced and taught people around how to create a clean environment.
Mita Wadhwa played an important role in spreading awareness for cleanliness among the young citizens of the country and said, “When you educate a woman, you educate the entire household.”
With this brief exchange of knowledge, the Honorable Director of NIFT, Bhopal presented gifts to the Lady Housekeeping Staff to honor their efforts and thank them for their unwavering support towards cleanliness. Along with this, students and teachers also conducted a tree plantation campaign in the campus.
Vanshika Srivastava, a first-year student, felt that, “People learned about the importance of sustainability and using resources wisely to make the best use of waste.”
