Stokes, England’s captain for Tests, was in talks to have a ball in hand since the start of the five-match Test series in India. In Dharamsala on Friday, the all-rounder achieved his goal, and guess what—on his very first delivery, he knocked over Rohit Sharma.

Stokes began with a good-of-a-length delivery which pitched around off stump. Rohit went for a defensive push, only to miss the ball completely. It went on to hit the top of the off stump.

Would there have been any better comeback for Stokes with the ball in hand? It was a peach of a delivery, and needless to say, it deserved a wicket.
