Director NITTTR in Malaysia be part in TVET meet

ITDC India ePress/ITDC News Madhya Pradesh Desk Bhopal: Professor CC Tripathi, Director, NITTTR Bhopal, participated in the regional event “TVET Strategic Planning and Experts Meeting for CPSC Strategic Plan 2023-2028” organized by Colombo Plan Staff College Manila in Malaysia.

In this international event, selected directors of participating CPSC countries were invited to discuss and brainstorm the strategic plan.

The objectives of the CPSC were formulated in accordance with the mission and vision. In this program, an action plan was prepared regarding the expectations of the stake holders of CPSC and it was decided that the participating countries would prepare and share a database of their human resources and physical infrastructure.

It was also highlighted that a need-based program would be developed for the participating countries and CPSC would also contribute as a consultant for capacity building of TVET institutes. For effective implementation of the programmes, CPSC will form nodal agency in its partner countries, which will coordinate with the governments and implement the action plans at the ground level.

Regional events will also be organized possibly in Bhopal or Chandigarh in 2023. CPSC will also partner with developed countries and funding agencies for capacity building in TVET. An important decision was taken to make CPSC Accord on the pattern of Washington Accord to ensure quality and recognition of skill-development to facilitate labor mobility and skill mapping.

The program paved the way for collaboration among participating countries, ensuring networking and strengthening TVET within them.
