A key highlight of the event was the craft demonstration and training session, where artisans showcased their traditional skills and shared their artistry with NIFT students.

The event will culminate in a grand craft market on February 7-8, 2025, featuring over 45 artisans from renowned craft hubs such as Chanderi, Maheshwar, Varanasi, Champa, Bhairavgarh, Nagina, Neemaj, and Farrukhabad. Traditional crafts like Banarasi, Chanderi, and Maheshwari textiles, block printing, batik, zardozi, lacquer craft, terracotta, Nandana prints, and jewelry making will be exhibited.

Additionally, artisans will receive essential guidance on quality assurance, government schemes, and the NIFT admission process for their children.

As the concluding segment of the Artists’ Awareness Week, the formal inauguration of the event will take place on February 7 at 10:30 AM, led by Prof. Amitabh Pandey, Director of Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind. This will be followed by the Craft Market on February 7-8, offering art lovers, design experts, and traders a unique opportunity to experience India’s rich craft heritage and purchase exquisite handmade products directly from artisans.
