CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Hindi Fortnight inaugural ceremony was organized at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Bhopal. The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Director Akhil Sahay, Director Anupam Saxena (Associate Professor), Dr. Rajdeep Singh Khanuja (Assistant Professor), Mohammad Rizwan Ahmad (Assistant Professor), and Ms. Samta (Junior Translation Officer).

Following the lamp-lighting, the Director administered the Official Language Pledge to all officers, faculty members, and staff of NIFT Bhopal, encouraging them to work in Hindi.

After the pledge, the Junior Translation Officer read out the Hindi Day messages of Hon’ble Minister of Textiles Giriraj Singh, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles Pabitra Margherita, Hon’ble Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles Ms. Neelam Shami Rao (IAS), and Hon’ble Director General of NIFT Ms. Tanu Kashyap (IAS).

Towards the conclusion of the ceremony, the Junior Translation Officer informed all attendees about the upcoming competitions to be held during the Hindi Fortnight. These included: Hindi Essay Writing Competition, Hindi Noting and Drafting Competition, Hindi Translation and Language Knowledge Competition, Hindi Typing Competition, and Hindi Dictation Competition (only for MTS staff). Faculty, staff, and students were encouraged to participate enthusiastically.

The event was successfully organized under the leadership of Director Akhil Sahay and coordinated by Ms. Samta, Junior Translation Officer, NIFT Bhopal. The presence of all officers, faculty members, and employees of NIFT Bhopal contributed to the success of the ceremony.
