In ancient times, people imagined automated machines. Those ideas and imaginations were, in fact, concepts similar to AI. In many ancient civilisations of the world, including India, ideas resembling AI can be found. Work in this direction had been under way even before the invention of computers in modern times. In this age of the information revolution, AI has become an integral part of our present. Today, AI’s intervention is increasing in every sector. This was stated by AILGO CEO Balendu Sharma Dadhich at the ongoing AI FDP at MCU.
Dadhich was addressing the technical session of this FDP as an expert today. He said AI analyses very large data sets on the basis of patterns. It is a technology capable of analysing information and data and offering solutions to many problems. Working with it produces results at astonishing speed. Through AI, machines transform data into knowledge and provide it to us.
In another session, senior journalist and AI trainer Devika Chhibber said technology has changed the newsroom ecosystem in television and print media on a very large scale. The intervention of AI and agentic AI is increasing here day by day. She said a new tool is emerging every day, and therefore technologies are changing the entire ecosystem very rapidly. In such a situation, good opportunities will be created in the industry for many specialists in the coming time. She said AI literacy is very important in the era of AI. For this, there is a great need for AI trainers. She also discussed in detail several AI tools, including fact-checking platforms, AI policy and governance.
Tomorrow, the chief guest at the closing session of this FDP will be IIIT Director Professor Ashutosh Kumar Singh. In the technical sessions, experts will also provide hands-on training on important subjects including generative AI, content creation and AI newsroom tools.
