CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The National Yoga and Naturopathy Conference 2026, centered on the theme “Healthy India with Niramaya Nature,” was organized at the Gyan Vigyan Bhavan, Barkatullah University, Bhopal under the joint aegis of Arogya Bharati and Sant Hirdaram Medical College, Bhopal.

Renowned experts in yoga and naturopathy from across the country delivered their lectures during the conference. At the उद्घाटन session, Additional Secretary of the AYUSH Department Sanjay Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of Barkatullah University Prof. Suresh Kumar Jain, Head of the Yoga Department Dr. Sadhana Dauneria, National Organization Secretary of Arogya Bharati Dr. Ashok Varshney, and Principal of Sant Hirdaram Medical College Dr. Ankesh Singh Bhadauria were prominently present.

Chief Guest Sanjay Mishra stated that naturopathy is a system of medicine that originated along with the creation of the universe. He emphasized that today the entire world needs natural healing systems. The Madhya Pradesh government is making special efforts in this direction, as it is the most affordable, simple, and accessible form of treatment, suitable for people of all economic backgrounds.

On this occasion, Dr. Ashok Varshney highlighted that most diseases today are caused by irregular lifestyle and daily routines. Naturopathy teaches us how to lead a disease-free life through a healthy lifestyle. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Sadhana Dauneria, and Dr. Ankesh Singh Bhadauria expressed gratitude to all participants.

During the valedictory session, the Hon’ble Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mangubhai Patel, attended as the chief guest. He stated that naturopathy is not limited to treating diseases but represents a holistic way of life. It strengthens the body’s natural immunity through elements like water, air, sunlight, soil, and balanced diet. He added that it provides simple, safe, and effective solutions to modern lifestyle issues such as stress, pollution, and unhealthy eating habits.

In various technical sessions, experts shared their insights. Dr. Eklavya Bohra (Rajasthan) discussed how simple kitchen remedies can be powerful tools for maintaining health and how diet itself can help cure ailments, supported by scientific evidence. Dr. Himanshu Sharma from NIN, Pune spoke on building a healthy India by integrating traditional knowledge with modern public health systems. Dr. Raghavendra Rao (Bengaluru) discussed preventive and therapeutic approaches for diseases like cancer in the modern world. Dr. Vivek Bharati (Raipur, Chhattisgarh) shared his views on the evolution of public health practices, ranging from yoga to Zumba.

Participants from Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana, Lucknow, Jabalpur, Rishikesh, and Nashik attended the event. Cultural activities such as poster making, yoga formations, dance, and video presentations showcasing the scientific basis of yoga were also organized. Winners of various competitions held during the event were awarded prizes.
