CNN Central News and Network–ITDC India E-Press/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the three-tier annual Hindi competitions organised to promote the use and expansion of Rajbhasha Hindi and to develop employees’ interest in working in Hindi, the first round of the three-day All-Rail Hindi Competitions–2026 was successfully held at the Passenger Coach Reconstruction Factory, Nishatpura, Bhopal.

Organised under the patronage of Chief Workshop Manager Prafull V. Kohade, the competitions saw enthusiastic participation from the factory’s technical and non-technical employees, who demonstrated their commitment to and proficiency in Rajbhasha Hindi.

On the first day, an essay writing competition was held on the topic, “The Role of Social Media in the Use and Promotion of Rajbhasha Hindi,” in which participants expressed their views effectively. On the second day, a Hindi noting and drafting competition was organised with the objective of encouraging the use of Hindi in official work. Employees displayed their proficiency in the use of Rajbhasha Hindi in administrative functions.

On the third and final day, participants in the Hindi speech competition gave an impressive display of their oratory skills, logical ability and expressive power. The three-member jury constituted to evaluate the competitions included R.K. Upadhyay (SMT), Prashant Narsinghpurkar (Assistant Works Manager) and Rakesh Kumar Ranga (Assistant Materials Manager). The judges closely assessed the participants’ knowledge, presentation and reasoning ability and selected the eligible participants for the regional-level competitions.

Notably, a total of 81 employees from the factory participated in the three competitions. The first three position holders in each competition will represent the factory at the regional (headquarters) level, while participants securing first place at the headquarters level will showcase their talent at the All-India level (Railway Board level).

Chief Workshop Manager Prafull V. Kohade expressed happiness over the successful organisation of the three-day competitions and congratulated all officers, employees and participants, while extending best wishes for the upcoming rounds. He said such competitions not only promote the use of Rajbhasha Hindi, but also encourage creativity, expression skills and the effective use of Hindi in official work.
