CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin addressed the ‘Shakti Kendra Conference (West Region)’ in Meerut on September 21 as part of his two-day visit to western Uttar Pradesh.
The conference was organised at Swami Vivekanand Subharti University and brought together Shakti Kendra coordinators and Mandal-level office bearers from across the western region. Reports said around 4,800 Shakti Kendra coordinators and Mandal presidents from 19 organisational districts and 71 Assembly constituencies participated in the programme.
The conference focused on organisational preparedness and interaction with party workers at the grassroots level. Nabin’s Meerut visit also included a youth conference, where discussions were scheduled around employment, startups, political participation and regional development.
Later, the BJP president was scheduled to meet former office bearers, MPs, MLAs and dedicated party workers from the western region to review organisational activities and preparations. The meetings are taking place ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections scheduled for 2027.
Nabin’s two-day programme also includes meetings in Saharanpur with senior party functionaries, district presidents and other organisational leaders. The visit forms part of the BJP’s organisational activities in western Uttar Pradesh, with party leaders reviewing preparations and taking feedback from workers at different levels.
