CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: NITTTR Bhopal and CSIR-Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Pilani, Sign MoU to Enhance Semiconductor Technology Collaboration
NITTTR Bhopal Director C.C. Tripathi and CSIR-CEERI Pilani Director P.C. Panchariya signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in the field of semiconductor technology. The agreement aims to foster joint activities in semiconductor packaging and Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT), accelerating the development of semiconductor technology in India.
Director C.C. Tripathi expressed his enthusiasm, emphasizing that this partnership will provide a strong foundation for India’s Semiconductor Mission and contribute significantly to the growth of the country’s electronics and semiconductor industry.
The collaboration is noteworthy due to CSIR-CEERI Pilani’s extensive expertise in semiconductor research and NITTTR Bhopal’s expanding activities in the OSAT domain. Recently, NITTTR Bhopal launched a Skill Development Center for OSAT, which focuses on training related to the semiconductor industry, including assembly, testing, marking, and packaging (ATMP).
Both institutions will focus on faculty training, joint diploma programs, and curriculum development to promote skill development in semiconductors and prepare a new generation of technical experts in this field. This partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing India’s semiconductor technology capabilities.
