CNN Central News & Network – ITDC India E-Press / ITDC News, Bhopal: The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, is conducting a series of training programs for professors, principals, librarians, and lab technicians under the Department of Higher Education. NITTTR Director Prof. C.C. Tripathi stated that, owing to the foresight of the Higher Education Department, these programs are significantly contributing to strengthening academic standards in the state.

These initiatives are not only enhancing the capabilities of academic and non-academic staff in Madhya Pradesh but are also paving the way for the adoption of modern teaching technologies, quality standards, digital literacy, and educational leadership. Prof. Tripathi expressed hope that such impactful training sessions will continue in the future, enabling educators to keep pace with evolving teaching methodologies, and affirmed the institution’s commitment to this cause.

NITTTR Bhopal’s Dean of Corporate and International Relations, P.K. Purohit, shared that a total of 35 training programs are scheduled by August, out of which 10 have been successfully completed. These include:

  • 2 programs on “Academic Leadership Development for Governance and Management of Institutions” attended by 65 principals from PM Excellence and autonomous colleges,

  • 1 program on “Modern Libraries and Emerging Technologies” for 45 librarians,

  • A 12-day refresher course for 55 assistant professors,

  • 3 programs on “Science for Engineering Applications” involving 111 assistant professors,

  • A program on “Operation and Maintenance of Lab Equipment” for 42 lab technicians,

  • A program on “Managerial Skills and Professional Ethics” for 37 assistant professors, and

  • A program on “21st Century Communication Through Digital Mode” for 42 assistant professors—totaling 397 trainees so far.

By August, 25 more training sessions are proposed, including:

  • 10 programs on “Use of Technology for Outcome-Based Education” for principals,

  • 5 on “Institutional Development Plan”,

  • 5 on “Indian Knowledge Tradition”, and

  • 5 on various other topics.

These upcoming sessions aim to train around 350 principals and 450 assistant professors, bringing the total trained members under the Higher Education Department to approximately 1,400. The framework for additional programs is also currently under development.
