The keynote speaker was Shiv Kumar Sharma, National Organizing Secretary of Vijnana Bharati, who explored various dimensions of India’s knowledge tradition. He stated that India has been the birthplace of a vast range of disciplines including religion, philosophy, science, medicine, architecture, metallurgy, astrology, astronomy, sculpture, dance, music, and more. He emphasized that there is no hesitation in saying so, as there are thousands of pieces of evidence supporting it.

Many inventions of the modern age are based on the conclusions of ancient Indian research. In Indian culture, the teacher holds the highest place. Sharma also remarked that working in the field of Indian Knowledge Systems is a form of spiritual discipline (sadhana).
Director of NITTTR Bhopal, Dr. C. C. Tripathi, informed that a Department of Indian Knowledge Systems has been established at the institute. Its objective is to revive India’s educational, scientific, cultural, and social heritage, and make it relevant to contemporary times through scientific validation. He said such initiatives not only enrich technical education but also promote value-based, holistic, and Indian-rooted education. Re-establishing Indian Knowledge Traditions is a shared responsibility.

Prof. P. K. Purohit, Dean of Science and Head of IKS at NITTTR, said that the institute is conducting a series of training programs based on Indian Knowledge Systems for teachers from Madhya Pradesh and across India.
