CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A memorandum of understanding was signed between the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, and the Higher Education Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh with the objective of improving academic quality, administrative efficiency and students’ employment-oriented capabilities in higher education institutions. The MoU was signed in the dignified presence of Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav and Higher Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar.
Through this agreement, NITTTR Bhopal and the Higher Education Department will jointly conduct training programmes for capacity building of teachers, administrative officers and staff in government colleges and universities across the state. The objective is to promote the National Education Policy, outcome-based education, research methodology, modern teaching techniques, e-governance, office automation, management information systems and digital administration. Speaking on the occasion, NITTTR Bhopal Director Prof. Tripathi said continuous professional development of teachers and academic administrators in line with the National Education Policy is the need of the hour. He said NITTTR Bhopal, through its expertise, resources and experience, has been continuously conducting training programmes in collaboration with the Higher Education Department, and this is an important step towards giving new dimensions of quality, innovation and excellence to Madhya Pradesh’s higher education system.
NITTTR Bhopal’s Madhya Pradesh coordinator Dr P.K. Purohit said the agreement with the Higher Education Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh is an important initiative towards making the state’s higher education system stronger, quality-oriented and aligned with future requirements. NITTTR Bhopal has been continuously conducting training programmes with the Madhya Pradesh Higher Education Department for the past several years. NITTTR Bhopal has so far organised more than 100 training programmes, through which more than 3,500 participants have been trained, including principals, professors, assistant professors, librarians, laboratory technicians, students and other administrative and technical officers and employees. Principal Secretary of the Higher Education Department Anupam Rajan, Commissioner Prabal Sipaha, Dr Manoj Singh and Major Nishant Ojha from NITTTR Bhopal were present on the occasion.
