CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Bhopal, and the Nepal Engineering Council (NEC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote mutual cooperation. Under this agreement, both institutions will collaborate in areas such as capacity building of engineering faculty, training programs, curriculum development, teaching innovation, quality assurance, and accreditation processes.

Additionally, through collaborative academic and research activities, the partnership will contribute to the smooth functioning and standard-setting of engineering courses in Nepal.

On this occasion, Director of NITTTR Bhopal, Prof. C. C. Tripathi, and President of the Nepal Engineering Council, Prof. Padma Bahadur Shahi, formally signed the MoU.

Mrutyunjay Behera, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Government of India, stated that this is a historic opportunity for institutions from both countries to work together in enhancing the quality of education and global recognition of students in Nepal. He also mentioned that after Nepal receives recognition under the Washington Accord, it will gain greater global visibility, and India will extend full support in this process.

Prof. Padma Bahadur Shahi said that the Nepal Engineering Council would receive valuable support through the collaboration with NITTTR, and that India’s outcome-based education model serves as an inspiration for Nepal.

Director of NITTTR Bhopal, Prof. Tripathi, stated that this MoU will help empower Nepal’s engineering students at the global level and promote quality and innovation in regional and international engineering education and research.

On this occasion, Dean Academic Dr. Agrawal informed that NITTTR Bhopal will train engineering teachers from Nepal in outcome-based education and prepare master trainers, who will further train other faculty members.

The program was also attended by Dean K. Purohit, Manish Bhargava, Deshpande, Major Nishant Ojha, and Registrar of Nepal Engineering Council, Eng. Dhruba Raj Bhattarai.
