CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The NSS unit of Scope Global Skills University, Bhopal, organized various awareness programs focused on traffic awareness, cleanliness awareness, and addiction prevention. Distinguished guests included Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sanjay Singh, Chief Guest Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Milan Jain, and Traffic Education Cell Head Girish Saraswat. University Vice-Chancellor Ajay Bhushan and Registrar Sitesh Sinha welcomed and honored the guests.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Singh provided students with valuable traffic safety information, emphasizing the importance of wearing helmets while riding two-wheelers, limiting passengers, and ensuring both riders wear helmets. He also stressed the importance of speed control and wearing seat belts in cars.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Vikram Singh Raghuvanshi addressed addiction issues, stating that any kind of substance abuse is harmful. He discussed various addictive substances, including alcohol, marijuana, opium, and tobacco, as well as the growing addiction to mobile phones, which he described as one of the most prevalent addictions today.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Milan Jain spoke on cleanliness, urging everyone to maintain a clean environment. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s message, “Plant a Tree in the Name of Mother,” she encouraged participants to plant at least one tree each and avoid using single-use plastic.
Vice-Chancellor Ajay Bhushan, Registrar Sitesh Sinha, and the guests led a cleanliness pledge with the attendees. The program was attended by 120 students and 10 faculty members. At the conclusion, NSS Officer Nitin Kumar Dhimole expressed gratitude to all the guests, faculty, and students present.
