CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the guidance of Executive Director Ajay Singh, a health camp, along with health education and awareness sessions, was recently organized at the construction sites within the AIIMS Bhopal campus.

Professor Ajay Singh praised the efforts of the Department of Community and Family Medicine in organizing this health camp. He emphasized that this camp will play a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of construction workers, as well as providing them access to essential healthcare services. Professor Singh believes it is the responsibility of all healthcare workers to raise awareness about cleanliness, not just within the hospital campus, but also beyond.

Approximately 85 construction workers participated in the program, which focused on personal hygiene and health awareness. In addition, workers were educated on occupational safety, managing heat stress, and first aid. The health issues of the construction workers were also examined during the camp. Screening for non-communicable diseases was conducted for 27 individuals aged 30 and above, and those in need of special medical attention were referred to the relevant OPD for expert consultations. Associate Professor Dr. Anindo Majumdar, along with residents Anantan and Avinash from the Department of Community and Family Medicine, played a significant role in organizing the event.
