CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The National Service Scheme’s “Orientation Programme 2026” was held with enthusiasm at the Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal.
The programme was presided over by the university’s Vice-Chancellor Vijay Manohar Tiwari. Barkatullah University Programme Coordinator Anant Saxena and Programme Officer Rahul Singh Parihar were present as chief guests. The programme formally began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp.
Addressing the programme, Barkatullah University Programme Officer Rahul Singh Parihar told students why it is necessary to join the National Service Scheme. Sharing his personal journey, he said that through dedication to social service and the National Service Scheme, a volunteer can make the journey to Rashtrapati Bhavan. He also highlighted the functioning of national and state camps and underlined the importance of discipline among students. He informed students about the “Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue Quiz” and encouraged them to participate in large numbers.
University Vice-Chancellor Vijay Manohar Tiwari taught students a lesson in discipline through an inspiring story. He explained why it is extremely necessary to end indiscipline in life and how essential it is to remain disciplined as an ideal National Service Scheme volunteer.
The entire event was held under the able guidance of the university’s National Service Scheme Programme Officers Dr Gajendra Singh Awasya and Manisha Verma. Tavishi Devrani and her student team handled the successful management and coordination of the programme.
