CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of National Youth Day, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Rabindranath Tagore University distributed warm clothes to needy children studying in government schools of its adopted villages Tilendi and Chikalod, and blankets to elderly residents.

It is noteworthy that for the past seven consecutive years, the university’s NSS unit has been organizing winter relief drives under the name “Sneh Kiran Winter Cloth Distribution”, distributing warm clothes during the winter season in government schools, adopted villages, footpaths, and other locations.

Under this initiative, the programme is being organized this year as well in 10 villages, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Dr. R. P. Dubey, Registrar Dr. Sangeeta Johari, Programme Officers Dr. Rekha Gupta and Dr. Gabbar Singh.

On the first day of the programme, the Chief Guest, Dr. R. P. Dubey, addressed the students and villagers. He said that serving the nation is the duty of every individual, and the NSS volunteers are fulfilling this duty with dedication, for which they deserve appreciation. He emphasized that school children are the future of the nation, and it is the collective responsibility of society to shape them into responsible citizens. When children study well and progress, they bring pride not only to their parents but to the entire country.

On this occasion, Deputy Registrar Sameer Chaudhary, Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Sheetal Gulati, NCC Officer Manoj Manral, along with students, were present. The programme was coordinated by volunteers Danish Ashraf and Kunal Singh, with key contributions from Avni Raghuvanshi, Rakhi Kulaste, Kundan Kumar, and others.
