CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is a state rich in art, culture, and tourism. Its history is adorned with numerous glorious events, traditions, and both tangible and intangible cultural heritage. To help students connect with this glorious legacy, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Rabindranath Tagore University launched the “Know Madhya Pradesh” campaign.
As part of this initiative, an educational tour of the Narsinghgarh Fort was organized under the joint aegis of the NSS unit and the Department of Law at Rabindranath Tagore University, under the guidance of University Registrar Sangeeta Johri.
During the tour, historian and NSS Program Officer Gabbar Singh provided insights into the architecture and history of the fort. The group also visited various historical and spiritual sites including Jal Mandir, Hanuman Gadhi, Chhota Mahadev, and Bada Mahadev, where students learned about their cultural and spiritual significance.
On this occasion, Dr. Nilesh Sharma, Dean and Director of the Law Department, and Assistant Professor Madhavi Patkar shared valuable information about the constitutional provisions for the protection of historical sites.
Key contributors to the success of the educational tour included NSS volunteers Avinash Kumar, Shivendra Rajput, Ripanshu Kumar, Danish Khan (State Camper), Adarsh Raj, Makkshi, Vandana, Preeti Kumari, and Anurag, among others.
