CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: NSUI State President Ashutosh Chouksey met with the Police Commissioner, demanding an FIR against Omprakash Sunraya, Lokpal of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication. The Lokpal is accused of making baseless comments against the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, and posting religiously inflammatory content.

Last Sunday, NSUI had already lodged a complaint regarding this matter at the Ratibad police station. NSUI State President Ashutosh Chouksey stated that the MCU Lokpal has been consistently posting defamatory remarks about Rahul Gandhi and other public representatives, along with inflammatory religious content on social media. He further demanded that the Police Commissioner investigate the matter and promptly register an FIR against the Lokpal. Chouksey emphasized that such incidents are condemnable and will not be tolerated. He warned that if an FIR is not filed, NSUI will approach the court for justice.\

State Co-Secretary Aman Pathan condemned the Lokpal’s behavior, stating that making such remarks while holding a respectable position is not only against the dignity of the office but also an attack on democratic values. NSUI denounces inflammatory remarks targeting any particular religion.

University in-charge Tanay Sharma demanded that the Lokpal apologize to Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party. He reiterated that NSUI respects the democratic system and all constitutional institutions, but legal action must be taken against individuals in public office engaging in such irresponsible behavior.

During this meeting, office-bearers Gagan Singh, Ashish Sharma, Prateek Yadav, and Amit Pawar were also present.
