CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: International Nurses Day was celebrated with great reverence, respect, and enthusiasm in the Bhopal Division of Western Central Railway.
The event was chaired by Chief Medical Superintendent Ajay Dogra, while the program was organized under the leadership of Chief Nursing Officer Lalita Lal. This year’s theme, “Nurses: A Voice of Leadership – Delivering Quality, Ensuring Equity,” focused on highlighting the significance of the nursing profession, their role in leadership, and their dedication to the healthcare sector.
Senior physician Promis Jain provided detailed information on critical care, emphasizing how the nursing staff’s wisdom, readiness, and training play a crucial role in the care of critically ill patients.
Chief Nursing Officer Lalita Lal highlighted the importance of essential staff skills such as nursing ethics, service, empathy, kindness, and adaptability, explaining how these qualities make nursing not just a profession but a service duty.
Nursing Superintendent Rekha Pandey gave an impactful speech on patient care and patient safety, explaining that ensuring patient safety and comfort is the primary responsibility of the nursing staff, which they perform with complete dedication and caution.
At the end of the program, all present nursing staff were honored with mementos. This event not only appreciated the work of the nursing staff but also provided them with inspiration and renewed energy.
On this occasion, nursing services were dedicated and celebrated with joy and enthusiasm in various programs at the railway health units in Bina, Itarsi, and Harda, which come under the Bhopal Division.
