CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A National Seminar on Artificial Intelligence (AI) was organized at Nutan College. The event was graced by chief guest Umashankar Pachauri, distinguished guest Mathura Prasad (Additional Director, Bhopal-Narmadapuram Division), and seminar patron Principal Deepti Srivastava. The seminar commenced with the garlanding of Goddess Saraswati’s idol and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed guests. Mukesh Dixit, the seminar convenor, introduced the purpose and objectives of the event.

In her welcome speech, the principal emphasized the modern structure and significance of higher education. After an address by Public Participation Chairperson Bharti Kumbhare, chief guest Mathura Prasad congratulated the college on organizing this seminar.

The keynote address was delivered by Agnya Mishra, HOD, AI & Data Science Department, Science & Technology Engineering College, Jabalpur. She highlighted the importance of AI in higher education, covering aspects such as admissions, teaching-learning, library management, research, and job opportunities.

The first technical session was conducted by Deepak Tomar, Professor & Head, Computer Science Department, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal. He spoke about generated data, cybercrime, cybersecurity, cyber threats, and cyber hygiene. He also discussed email spoofing, DNS pharming, and the sanchasathi.gov.in website.

The second technical session was led by Dhananjay Shukla, AI Expert at AT&T Bell Labs & Cisco, USA. He covered the basics of AI, including Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), ChatGPT, AI in agriculture, and ChatGPT EDU.

The third technical session was conducted by Agnya Mishra, where she discussed AI applications across various domains, remote sensing, and AI-based products such as robots and AI-powered washing machines.
