CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: With the start of October, several important changes have come into effect across the country, which could affect household budgets and day-to-day expenses. These include LPG cylinder prices, subsidy-related rules and possible changes in the prices of electronic appliances.

Oil companies have increased the price of the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 70 from October 1. Following this, its price has gone up in different cities. This change is not said to have a direct impact on the price of the 14.2-kg cylinder used for domestic purposes. Commercial cylinders are mainly used in hotels, restaurants and other business establishments. The issue of e-KYC is also important in relation to LPG subsidy. Beneficiaries who have not completed the required verification process may face difficulty in receiving the subsidy. Eligible consumers have therefore been advised to check their records and e-KYC status.

In addition, prices of some electronic and consumer products may also be affected from October. Changes in rules and costs applicable to appliances such as ACs, TVs and refrigerators may be reflected in company pricing. At the start of the month, several rules related to banking, tax, investment and other sectors have also been changed, making this information important for consumers.
