CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: A major update has come from Odisha for young people preparing for government teacher recruitment. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, announced that 45,000 vacant teacher posts in state schools will be filled over the next three years. He made the announcement during a Teachers’ Day programme held at Secondary Board High School in Cuttack.
According to the Chief Minister, the purpose of the recruitment drive is to address the shortage of teachers in schools and strengthen the education system. However, a detailed official notification related to post-wise details, application dates, educational qualifications, age limit and the selection process has not yet been issued. Candidates will therefore have to wait for the official notification for now.
The Odisha government also mentioned other schemes in the education sector. The Chief Minister said 2,200 Godavarish Mishra Adarsh Primary Schools are being developed in the state, with around Rs 12,000 crore to be spent on them. The government has also emphasised its free education scheme from “KG to PG”.
