CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Athletes from SAI National Centre of Excellence Bhopal Shine at Senior National Judo Championship 2025

Athletes from the Sports Authority of India (SAI) National Centre of Excellence, Bhopal, showcased an outstanding performance at the Senior National Judo Championship 2025 held in Imphal, winning a total of 14 medals — 6 Gold, 2 Silver, and 6 Bronze — reaffirming their supremacy at the national level.

The highlight of the championship was Olympian Tulika Man, who created history by winning her sixth consecutive gold medal, cementing her special place in Indian judo. Other gold medalists included Asmita (48 kg), Inunganbi (70 kg), Ritika (78 kg), Avatar Singh (100 kg), and Ritik Singh (+100 kg). Silver medals were won by Ritu (52 kg) and Yash Ghanghas (+100 kg). Bronze medals went to Shraddha (52 kg), Kentu Lap (60 kg), Aradhya Chopra (90 kg), Shruti Uniyal (78 kg), Vishal (100 kg), and Kanwarpreet Kaur (+100 kg).

Abhishek Singh Chauhan, Regional Director, NCOE Bhopal, expressed immense happiness over the athletes’ stellar performance and congratulated all medalists, appreciating their hard work, discipline, and the continuous efforts of the coaching staff.

Yashpal Solanki (HPD – Judo) remarked, “This is a strong result for us in Judo at the Senior Nationals this year. We now have potential athletes who could represent India at the upcoming Commonwealth Games, and it seems Judo will be one of India’s top medal-winning disciplines in the Games.”
