CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the inauguration of the “Women’s Section” at the Postal Store, Arera Hills, Bhopal, was done by Mr. Vineet Mathur, the Chief of the Madhya Pradesh Postal Department, and the Chief Postmaster General. The theme for International Women’s Day 2024, designated by the United Nations, is “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” with Mr. Vineet Mathur, Chief Postmaster General, providing detailed information on initiatives dedicated to women’s empowerment in the postal department, such as the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and the Women’s Honor Fund Scheme, and presenting mementos to all women employees present at the program. He emphasized every citizen’s responsibility towards women’s empowerment and encouraged continuous progress by educating them on the importance of health, education, and technology in women’s lives. Additionally, he urged all employees to promote the various schemes of the postal department by going door-to-door, aligning with the taglines of “India Post, Your Friend” and “Your Bank, Your Door” of India Post Payments Bank. Cultural programs were also organized by the employees during this event. Dignitaries such as Mr. Sagar Nilesh Shah, Superintendent of Post Offices Bhopal, Mr. Abhishek Chaube, Superintendent of Postal Store Bhopal, and Ms. Sunita Singh, Superintendent of Railway Mail Service Bhopal Division, along with Ms. Usha Gupta, Manager of the Postal Store Bhopal, graced the occasion with their presence. The event was conducted by Mr. Rajesh Yadav, and thanks were expressed by Ms. Mamta Saraswat.
