CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: In accordance with the directives of the Government of India and the State Government, a Sports Week is being organized in all districts of Madhya Pradesh from August 26 to 31, 2024, on the occasion of ‘National Sports Day,’ which marks the birth anniversary of the hockey wizard, Padma Vibhushan Major Dhyan Chand. Today, table tennis matches were held between teams of players, coaches, and officials at Tatya Tope Stadium in Bhopal.
On the occasion of ‘National Sports Day,’ a program is scheduled to be held on August 29, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Tatya Tope Stadium in Bhopal, where Honorable Sports Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang will be the chief guest. The event will be attended by school children, players, coaches, and responsible officers and staff.
The details of the program organized on the occasion of ‘National Sports Day’ are as follows:
Garland ceremony on the portrait of hockey wizard Major Dhyan Chand at the Badminton Hall of Tatya Tope Stadium.
Meeting with international and national competition medal-winning players and a Rakhi ceremony.
Inauguration of the badminton competition.
Introduction to the players of the exhibition football match.
