CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: On the 193rd birth anniversary of Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi, the valiant queen of the 1857 freedom struggle, Madhya Pradesh Minister Rakesh Shukla paid tribute to her, stating that Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi was a freedom fighter and the first martyr heroine who sacrificed her life to save the country.

He expressed that it is a matter of pride that Rani Avanti Bai was born in the Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh. Her contribution to the country’s first war of independence can never be forgotten.
