CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The Department of Physics (Forensic Science) at Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, organized a one-day seminar. The chief guest and keynote speaker at this academic event was Ms. Sunaina Bhatnagar, Scientist ‘B’ at the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), Bhopal, under the Directorate of Forensic Science, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
The seminar aimed to acquaint students with the latest techniques for the examination and analysis of forensic evidence. Students of B.Sc. Forensic Science actively participated in the event, engaging directly with the expert to gain valuable insights.
In her guest lecture, Ms. Sunaina Bhatnagar not only provided career guidance but also shared her practical experiences. She elaborated on the qualifications, challenges, and opportunities essential for building a career in the field of forensic science. She also provided students with information on the latest techniques used in the handling and processing of forensic evidence, and introduced them to standard procedures and innovations in the scientific examination of physical evidence. She emphasized the importance of accuracy, integrity, and the chain of custody in forensic evidence management.
The seminar was coordinated by Prince Kumar Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics (Forensic Science), and was overseen by Dr. Poorvi Bhardwaj, Dean of the Faculty of Science.
At the conclusion of the seminar, participating students were awarded certificates, acknowledging their engagement and encouraging further academic pursuit.
