CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: The West Central Railway, Bhopal Division, organized the “One Tree in the Name of Mother” program under the “Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2024.” On this occasion, Divisional Railway Manager Devashish Tripathi and other branch officials planted trees together with the scout guides. The event took place in the garden of the officers’ rest house located near Rani Kamalapati Railway Station.
Under the “One Tree in the Name of Mother” program, 55 plants were planted, with the primary objective of promoting environmental conservation and greenery. A large number of branch officials and employees participated in this program, expressing their commitment to environmental protection.
Under the theme of “One Tree in the Name of Mother,” the tree plantation demonstrated respect for motherhood and nature. Divisional Railway Manager Devashish Tripathi stated that through tree planting, we can protect the environment and ensure a clean and green atmosphere for future generations.
Additionally, tree planting was also conducted at other locations in the Bhopal division, such as the Electric Loco Shed in Itarsi, the Diesel Shed, and Vidisha Railway Station under the “One Tree in the Name of Mother” program. Senior officials of the division strengthened their commitment to environmental protection through tree planting at these locations.
This program played a significant role in raising awareness among people regarding environmental protection and cleanliness.
