CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: OnePlus introduced its latest budget smartphone, the Nord CE 4 Lite featuring a Snapdragon 695 SoC, the same semiconductor chip that also powers the last two generations of Nord CE Lite smartphones. With a starting price of Rs 19,999 for the base variant that comes with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, and Rs 22,999 for the 256 GB variant, the device will be available for purchase starting June 27 via Amazon and on the smartphone maker’s official website.
Despite using the same chipset as its predecessor, OnePlus has made several upgrades to the Nord CE 4 Lite. These upgrades include a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 50 MP Sony LYT 600 primary sensor, and an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.
Other prominent features of the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite include a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speaker set-up. The smartphone comes with the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 and is likely to receive at least two other major Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates in the future. Unlike most OnePlus smartphones, which are free of bloatware, the Nord CE 4 Lite packs quite a lot of third-party apps, though they can be uninstalled.
