CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News /Agencies/ Bhopal: CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News / Agencies: Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party president Om Prakash Rajbhar has landed in controversy over a statement. During the Jan Adhikar Maharally held in Banda district, he described himself as the country’s biggest goon and said that if anyone tried to intimidate his workers, he had the capacity to take out that person’s other eye as well. His statement is rapidly going viral on social media.

Addressing the gathering, Rajbhar said he had heard that many big strongmen and goons live in Banda. He then asked who in the entire country was a bigger goon than him. Naming Mukhtar Ansari, Brijesh Singh, Dhananjay Singh and Abhay Singh, he claimed that these people hold court at his place. He told workers there was no need to fear anyone.

Rajbhar also targeted the Samajwadi Party. He alleged that the local SP MLA and workers were threatening people to stop them from attending his programmes. He also questioned Akhilesh Yadav’s PDA formula and challenged him to clarify its definition.

Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav hit back at Rajbhar’s statement, saying the minister was also threatening the BJP by using such language. He questioned whether a minister holding responsibility in the government should say such things from a public platform.

After the controversy escalated, Rajbhar defended his statement, saying his objective was to challenge strongmen who intimidate poor and vulnerable people. He said that through such language, he boosts the morale of victims.
