CNN Central News & Networks / ITDC India ePress / ITDC News / Agencies: Uttar Pradesh Cabinet minister and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) president Om Prakash Rajbhar is in the spotlight over one of his statements. Addressing a Jan Adhikar rally held in Baberu, Banda, he described himself as the biggest goon in the country. He also claimed that well-known strongman leaders such as Dhananjay Singh, Abhay Singh and Brijesh Singh attend his durbar.
Speaking at the gathering, Rajbhar said he had been told that many big goons live in Banda, but there is no goon bigger than him in the entire country. In support of his claim, he named Dhananjay Singh, Brijesh Singh and Abhay Singh, along with the late Mukhtar Ansari. However, there has been no independent confirmation of his claim that these leaders attend his durbar.
Addressing his workers, Rajbhar said they did not need to fear anyone. In a warning tone, he said that if anyone looked at his workers with one eye, he also had the ability to take out the other eye. A video of this statement is going viral on social media.
At the rally, Rajbhar also appealed for strengthening the political organisation and moving forward under his flag. He targeted the opposition, questioning the Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh Yadav’s PDA formula. He also raised the issue of political participation and rights of the Prajapati community. The use of such language from a public platform by a Cabinet minister has triggered discussion in political circles.
