CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: “Awareness program on cancer was organized by AIIMS Bhopal. The Executive Director of AIIMS Bhopal, Ajay Singh, always emphasizes the need for us to go outside the hospital and interact with people in the community to provide them with health information. Only then can we truly raise awareness about health among people.
Given the increasing cases of cancer in the country, it is essential to raise awareness today. Especially for dealing with cervical cancer issues in women, HPV vaccination is crucial. Professor Singh particularly focuses on educating children. According to him, educating or raising awareness among a child means educating or raising awareness among a generation.
In this regard, Dr. Shashank Bansal, Assistant Professor in the Medical Oncology Department of AIIMS Bhopal, organized an awareness program on cancer for students at Sehore University in Bhopal. In this awareness program, they were informed about screening techniques so that anyone can check themselves at a primary level for any signs of cancer. Especially after HPV vaccination, the risk of cervical cancer is almost completely eliminated in women. Additionally, information was provided on how to maintain our lifestyle because in today’s lifestyle, children are more attracted to junk food. Nearly 100 students participated in this cancer awareness program.”
