CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the direction of Executive Professor Ajay Singh, Swarna Prashan has been conducted on the day of Pushya Nakshatra each month for the past year at the AYUSH Department of AIIMS. Continuing this tradition, the Swarna Prashan program was organized in the Ayurveda OPD of the AYUSH Department at AIIMS. In Ayurveda, Swarna Prashan is administered to children to boost their immunity and enhance their physical and mental development.
A total of 99 children participated in this program, with 42 returning participants and 57 new registrations. Despite heavy rainfall, people enthusiastically participated in the event. A survey conducted on the physical and mental growth and effects on children over the past year saw participation from 118 individuals. Of these, 73% of parents reported positive effects on their children.
In this program, Ayurvedic Medical Officer Dr. Ranjana Pandey administered Swarna Prashan to children aged 1 to 16 years. She explained the importance of Swarna Prashan to all the children and their guardians and raised awareness about physical and mental health. Over the past year, the AYUSH Department has provided free Swarna Prashan to children through its Ayurveda division.
