CNN Central News and Network – ITDC India E-Press / ITDC News Bhopal: LN Ayurveda College, Bhopal, organized an Orientation Program for newly admitted students.

On the first day, Principal Sapan Jain introduced the college to the new students and administered the Charak Oath. Following this, LNCT University Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Thapak, in his address, urged students to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their studies. The chief guest, LNCT University Chancellor Jay Narayan Chouksey, encouraged the new students, saying, “The future belongs to Ayurveda, and your prospects are bright.” The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vishal Shivhare.

On the second day, the keynote speaker was Vaidya Sushrut Kanaujia, a member of the National Medical Commission’s Board of Assessment and Rating, New Delhi. Distinguished guests included Dr. Madhusudan Deshpande, National Guru from the National Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, New Delhi, and National Executive Member of Arogya Bharati, and Anupam Chouksey, Secretary, LNCT Group.

The event commenced with a ceremonial offering of flowers and garlanding of Lord Dhanvantari’s statue. In his welcome speech, Anupam Chouksey emphasized the importance of attendance in medical education. He stated, “In the medical field, students’ attendance is crucial because, as future doctors, you cannot afford to miss knowledge essential for treating patients.”

Dr. Madhusudan Deshpande, in his address, introduced students to Ayurveda’s rich history, spirituality, the Vedas, and the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. Using the story of the hare and tortoise, he encouraged students to shed arrogance and laziness and focus diligently on their Ayurvedic studies.

Keynote speaker Vaidya Sushrut Kanaujia highlighted the significance of Sanskrit as the language of the gods and encouraged students to study in their native tongue. He remarked, “To truly learn, one must cultivate a thirst for knowledge. Just as an animal will not drink water even if standing amidst it unless thirsty, one must first clear old thoughts and create space in the mind to fully absorb Ayurveda.”

The program provided students with insights into the essence and discipline of Ayurvedic studies, setting the tone for their academic journey.
