CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), RGPV Bhopal delivered an outstanding performance in the All India Drop Roball Championship for men and women, winning two gold medals. The first gold medal came in the men’s triple category, where the RGPV team (comprising Shayan Singh, Kamal Parihar, Pratham Piplodia, Himanshu Pathak, Somesh Pawar, and Kanishk Sarkar) defeated Kumaun University Nainital in a three-set match with scores of 15/10, 15/12. In the women’s doubles category, RGPV players (Srishti Ojha, Nidhi, and Durva) won the gold medal by overcoming Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith Banaras University in a hard-fought final with scores of 15/9, 10/15, 15/11. The championship was held at Sandip University, Nashik. Additionally, in the women’s singles category, RGPV’s Mansi Sahu secured a bronze medal. The men’s doubles team from RGPV, consisting of Krishna Gopal, Vishal Patidar, Roshan Sen, and Rahul, also performed admirably, securing fourth place.
