CNN Central News & Network-ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: New Delhi. AIMIM chief and MP Asaduddin Owaisi has questioned the Narendra Modi-led central government over the continuing tension on the India-China border. After India-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) Director General Shatrujeet Kapoor’s statement that confrontations between Indian and Chinese troops are continuing at several places in Arunachal Pradesh, Owaisi demanded that the government clarify the situation.

In a post on social media platform X, Owaisi asked which places in Arunachal Pradesh were those where Chinese troops allegedly intruded, stopped Indian soldiers from patrolling and obstructed civilians, and refused to withdraw. He also sought to know how long such a situation has continued and what the government’s approach towards China has been during this period.

Demand for a report on the border situation: Calling the developments on the border serious, Owaisi demanded that the central government place a detailed and independent report before the country. He also appealed for a special session of Parliament to discuss the issue. According to him, the public should be informed of the real situation in matters related to national security and the country’s territorial integrity.

Discussion intensified after ITBP chief’s statement: The ITBP chief has stressed drone platoons, special training and modern technology to strengthen security arrangements along the border. Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs has said that the situation is affected when there is a deviation from established patrolling procedures on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The ministry also clarified that both countries are using diplomatic and military channels to resolve border-related issues. Demands for clarification from the central government have now intensified over the actual situation on the border and the details of the alleged incidents.
