In the district, the registration for paddy, jowar, and bajra procurement at the support price for the Kharif marketing year 2024-25 has commenced and will continue until October 4, 2024. Fifteen registration centers have been established in the district.

District Supply Controller Meena Malakar stated that for the Kharif marketing year 2024-25, farmers can register for the procurement of paddy, jowar, and bajra at support prices using their own mobile phones or computers at facility centers set up in gram panchayat offices, cooperative societies for free registration, and at MP Online kiosks, Common Service Centers, Lok Seva Kendras, and private cyber cafes by depositing a fee of ₹50 until October 4, 2024.

She mentioned that the registration of sharecroppers, tenants, and forest landholders will be done at the centers of cooperative marketing societies. A farmer’s registration will only be possible if the names in the land records match the name on their Aadhaar card. The verification of the Aadhaar number will be done using an OTP sent to the linked mobile number or through a biometric device. Family members with land in the farmer’s household must register separately. If a farmer’s land is in another district, the registration will be done in that district. If there are lands at different locations within the district, all lands can be registered at the same center.

She urged farmers to ensure their registration by October 4, as registration will not be possible after the specified deadline. Free registration services are available at facility centers established in gram panchayat, janpad panchayat, and tehsil offices, while the paid registration service at MP Online kiosks, Common Service Centers, Lok Seva Kendras, and privately operated cyber cafes will be ₹50 per registration.
