CNN Central News & Network–ITDC India Epress/ITDC News Bhopal: Renowned Padma awardees from the city participated in the ongoing tree plantation drive at Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication.
Padma Shri Kapil Tiwari, Vijaydutt Shridhar, Harchand Singh Bhatti, Bhoori Bai, and Durgabai Vyam planted saplings on the university campus.
Saplings were also planted on behalf of Padma Shri Rameshchandra Shah and Padma Shri Bhajji Shyam by renowned ceramic artist Devilal Patidar.
Vice Chancellor Vijay Manohar Tiwari welcomed the Padma awardees, who came together on campus for the first time.
The university’s campaign to plant 1,111 saplings is ongoing and will continue until Hariyali Teej.
